Pakistani Spies Apprehended in Delhi with Classified Documents

New Delhi: Delhi Police has busted a spy ring allegedly linked to Pakistan’s intelligence agency, ISI, in a major security operation carried out between January and March this year. Two people, including one of Nepali origin, have been arrested for spying and stealing military secrets.

One of the accused has been identified as Ansarul Mian Ansari, a man with alleged links to ISI who originally comes from Nepal. The other suspect's identity has not been publicly shared. Police said both were found with classified Indian military documents, which they were allegedly planning to pass on to Pakistan.

The arrests came amid heightened tensions between India and Pakistan following military clashes between both sides earlier this month. Investigators believe the spies were gathering important security information that could have been used against India.

Delhi Police worked on the case for several months before catching the suspects. The arrests were made quietly, and the matter was kept confidential until the charge sheet was filed in May 2025. Both men are now in Tihar Jail, and legal action is underway.

The Delhi Police have filed serious charges, including violations under the Official Secrets Act, which deals with national security breaches. Authorities have said this is a big success in stopping foreign spies working from inside India.

Officials have not ruled out the possibility of more people being involved. Investigations are still going on, and further details are expected soon.
